The High Holy Days Food Drive is a great way of appreciating the plenty that we as a Community of Friends have and starting the New Year with a gesture of love for the less fortunate including for the first time our four legged friends.
Here are the charities we support and how you can help:
- Food Pantry at JFS – monetary donation or purchase canned and dried food as well as toiletries, diapers and other baby items
- Mayor Harry’s Colin County Peanut Butter Drive – Spread the Love – make a monetary donation to NTFB or purchase any variety of peanut butter
- Plano Animal Shelter (PAS) – make a monetary donation or purchase toys, food for our four legged friend or even better offer a forever home to an animal in need
All monetary donations can be made online directly at the charity websites.
Should you purchase food or toiletries either through online delivery or in person depending on how safe you feel going out, then please do the following:
Purchase canned or dried food. Check the expiration date.
Pack up your food or toiletries. Tape the box and label it.
Be creative, labels can be pretty and fun. Labels should read :
Bring your box to Adat Chaverim during one of the drop off dates mentioned below.
